Hi, I’m Miguel Ucañan Vargas.
I’m a Peruvian creative trained as a visual artist at the School of Fine Arts in Lima. Early in my journey, I realized that art can take many forms. That realization hit me when I saw “Bostezo”, the iconic Telecom ad by my idols Agulla and Baccetti. That was the moment I decided to explore this incredible craft called advertising.
Over the past 12+ years in the industry, I’ve had the chance to grow, create, and share ideas with amazing people. Along the way, I’ve been lucky enough to be recognized at top global festivals—most notably winning the Grand Prix in Design at Cannes Lions for Sightwalks, a project that reconnected me with my artistic side through hands-on design and prototyping. It’s a piece I’m truly proud of, and it keeps inspiring me to this day.
Looking back, diving into creativity through advertising was the best decision I’ve ever made.
